Born from an idea of SURF MUSIC fans, musicians and promoters, the Surfer Joe Diner opened its doors in March 2012 with the shape of a typical American restaurant.

Anyway the colors and atmosphere are not inspired by the 50s culture as much as the Californian myth, surfing, hot-rod, tiki and the legendary sunny beaches, showcasing a great collection of original surf music related decors and posters!


Our venue is composed by 3 locations:

• the diner downstairs offering a great selection of American and Mexican classics, sometimes revisited our own way


• the tiki bar and club upstairs where the winter shows and activities are hosted


• the outdoor tiki garden, one of the greatest spots in town for various shows and events during the good season.

We are located next to the Acquario di Livorno, 50 mt. from the sea, the only building you find on the Terrazza Mascagni, the great terrace built in the late 20s representing one of the most famous and picturesque spots in town!
